Preparation for Your First Float Therapy session

We are excited that you have scheduled your first float with us!

Here are a few ways you can prepare for the best float possible.

  • Avoid shaving, tanning, waxing or anything else that would increase the sensitivity of your skin. (We provide Vaseline to protect any SMALL cuts and scrapes from stinging!)
  • Hair color needs to be “set” before coming in to float. Your shower water must be running completely clear.
  • We encourage clients to avoid caffeine for at least 4 hours before floating for the most relaxing experience.
  • Females experiencing their menstrual cycle the day of their float MUST reschedule their appointments.
  • If you have recently had a spray tan in the last 2 weeks, you can not float. (Due to the salt content, it will strip you of your tan AND it will stain our pool.)
  • We recommend eating something small prior to your float. You do not want to be full or hungry. A good in between is best.
  • We recommend comfortable clothes that are easy to change in and out of.
  • Our float room has its own shower and changing area for your convenience.
  • We encourage clients to float nude for the greatest experience. But please feel free to bring a swimsuit if you’d like!
  • Those under the influence of alcohol or drugs are not permitted to float.
  • We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hair dryer, and q-tips for your convenience.

How to Float

Do a quick rinse off in the shower (make sure you leave your towel hanging by the shower for when you get out the second time).

Turn off the light and the fan.

Step into float therapy pool and press and release the speaker button when ready for everything to be turned off. (Also use this button if you need receptionist for anything during your float.)

Pump and light will go off and then come back on when your float session is over.

Use your ear plugs if needed, and cover up any cuts or scrapes with Vaseline to keep from stinging.

Grab your pool noodle to support your neck if needed.

Use the rag and spray bottle in tub to wipe face and eyes if needed.

When float is over, turn light and fan back on, shower off completely using shampoo and body wash.

Take a minute to relax.

Please leave float room curtain closed at all times to keep room at a warm temperature.
